In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, safe, and supportive living environment while ensuring the highest quality of care and assistance for individuals.
SHIFT:
3PM - 11PM Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor health status by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Support clients during meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper use to maintain safety during transfers Maintain clean and safe living environments by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy standards like HIPAA and assist in updating individual care plans Skills Proven experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or in assisted living environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or medical emergencies Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, families, and healthcare professionals Familiarity with home health practices, hospice care principles, and long-term care standards Compassionate attitude combined with patience for working with individuals experiencing memory loss or behavioral challenges Requirements High school diploma/GED required Valid driver's license No previous criminal record or barrier crimes 1 year of experience providing direct care to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate about the care and well-being of others Ability to pass a background check Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives respectful, attentive care.
