Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Hampton Roads, VA Looking for a job with purpose, movement, and real impact? We're hiring strong, reliable, and motivated individuals to support adults with developmental disabilities across our Residential, In-Home, and Community Programs . This is more than a job — this is leadership, mentorship, and making a difference every day. What You'll Do As a DSP with UNITUS, you'll be on the front lines helping individuals build independence, confidence, and life skills. Coach and mentor individuals in real-life situations Lead community outings, fitness, recreation, and daily activities Support independence in home and residential settings Help individuals develop discipline, structure, and social skills Transport individuals to activities, appointments, and opportunities Maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment Be a role model through your actions, communication, and leadership Who We're Looking For We want dependable, strong-minded individuals who: Take initiative and lead by example Are comfortable being active and engaged (not sitting behind a desk) Can handle responsibility and stay calm under pressure Have a passion for helping others grow and succeed Want a job that actually means something Basic Requirements High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance Ability to pass background checks Strong communication and professionalism Willingness to complete required trainings (we provide guidance) Experience is a plus, but we will train the right person with the right mindset.
