Hourly Pay:
$17.84 to $20.04/HR
Shift Differential:
Additional $2.50 per hour for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts worked.
Part-Time Schedule:
Flexible shifts available-morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekends!

Direct Care Associates (DSPs) - Immediate Openings Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is actively seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. We have immediate openings supporting adults with developmental disabilities in residential and community-based programs. If you're ready to start quickly and make a meaningful impact, apply today. About the Role DSPs provide essential, hands-on support that helps individuals live as independently as possible while staying connected to their community. You will work in structured, person-centered environments that promote dignity, growth, and daily success. Our Programs H-NNCSB Residential Services includes both Waiver group homes and Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) located throughout Hampton and Newport News. These homes provide 24-hour supervision, individualized support, medication administration, nursing services, and access to adaptive equipment. Individuals receive support with daily living, socialization, recreation, and community integration. ICFs serve individuals with more complex medical needs and offer access to clinical supports such as occupational, speech, and physical therapy. Our Creative Options program focuses on skill-building for independence, including employment readiness, community involvement, problem-solving, and social development. Services are guided by each individual's Person-Centered Plan to ensure meaningful and personalized support. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and daily living support Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene Support medication and mobility needs Implement individualized service plans and document services Promote positive behavior and life skills development Maintain a safe, structured environment Encourage community participation and engagement Qualifications At least 1 year of direct care or related experience Valid driver's license required Strong teamwork and communication skills Schedule Part-time shifts available, including mornings, evenings, overnight, and weekends.
