Job Description:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at CCS, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with autism in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life. You will provide direct care, assistance with daily living activities, and emotional support in a compassionate and respectful manner.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, household chores, and grocery shopping while encouraging independence and skill-building. Implement the individual's support plan and goals, focusing on social engagement and community involvement. Provide transportation and accompany the individual to appointments, outings, and recreational activities. Maintain accurate documentation of progress, activities, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with the individual, their family, and the care team to ensure consistency in support. Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes the individual's well-being and personal growth.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, or related field
REQUIRED.
Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to make a positive impact Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable) Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
