Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents or clients in various settings such as assisted living facilities, group homes, or home care environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure residents receive the highest quality of care, promoting their independence, safety, and comfort every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patients' health status, recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect privacy Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper documentation of all patient care activities Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote healthy eating habits Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health care, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia/Alzheimer's care are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs is advantageous Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for patient support Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team while providing compassionate patient-centered care Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for home & community care roles Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives respectful, attentive care.
