In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism, cognitive disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Your energetic and positive approach will foster independence, enhance quality of life, and promote meaningful community involvement for those you serve. This is an excellent opportunity for caring individuals passionate about making a real difference in people's lives through engaging support and community integration. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility needs Support clients in developing social skills and participating in community activities to promote independence and inclusion Operate standard passenger cars safely to provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or outings Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs to encourage positive behavior and emotional well-being Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, activities, and any incidents while adhering to confidentiality standards Collaborate with team members, families, and other service providers to coordinate care plans and ensure consistent support Experience Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities is highly preferred Background in special education or behavioral health supports is advantageous Knowledge of behavior management techniques and experience assisting with ADLs is beneficial Familiarity with home & community care environments Strong communication skills Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to be obtained upon hire Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with patients who have cognitive disabilities or intellectual disabilities support needs Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual can thrive!
