This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while delivering personalized care tailored to each person's unique needs. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve through attentive caregiving and compassionate support. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and overall well-being Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care needs is highly valued Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and health assessments Hands-on experience with medication administration and creating or following care plans Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other disabilities in a compassionate manner Strong background in caregiving roles involving social work principles, hospice or palliative care is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance Join us if you're eager to provide meaningful support that enhances lives!
