Job Description
Group Home Staff - Overnight Shift (11:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.) Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities? Join Welcome Home Community Services , a well-established company with over a decade of experience in providing quality care and support. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Overnight Group Home Staff .
Schedule:
Overnight shift: 11:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.Responsibilities:
Assist residents with nightly routines and personal care, including hygiene and preparing for bed. Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure safety and wellbeing. Conduct regular safety and room checks and document sleep patterns. Administer medications according to training and company policies. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in the group home. Provide companionship and reassurance to residents who may wake during the night. Maintain detailed documentation of resident care, behavior, and any overnight incidents. Follow individual support plans, ensuring each resident's needs are met. Perform light housekeeping to prepare the home for the morning. Wake residents up in the morning and assist them with morning routines. Help residents get dressed, complete hygiene tasks, and prepare for the day. Prepare simple breakfast items as needed. Ensure residents are fully prepared for school and/or day support programs, including gathering lunches, personal items, and confirming transportation arrangements. Communicate important overnight updates to incoming day staff to ensure smooth shift transitions.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Compassionate, patient, and respectful of residents' privacy and dignity. Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the overnight shift. Ability to lift or move residents as needed (training provided).
