  • Part-time Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Summary As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring their health status, and supporting the nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and other conditions requiring specialized care. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide support for tube feeding and medication administration as directed by nursing staff. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with catheter care and other personal hygiene needs. Engage with patients to provide companionship and emotional support. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for patient documentation and communication. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Skills Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is preferred. Knowledge of caregiving principles related to senior care, hospice care, memory care, and dementia care. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices. Understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have disabilities or developmental challenges. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for medical records management. Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
