Job Description

Direct Support Professional Monday
  • Friday, 7a-3p, 2:30p-10:30p/ Weekend 8a
  • 8p Sterling, VA 20164 $21 an hour
  • Part-time, Full-time $21 an hour
  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in our single family group home. The ideal candidate will assist in daily activities, offer companionship, and ensure the well-being of our residents. Hours Monday
  • Friday 2:30pm
  • 10:30pm Weekend (Saturday-Sunday) 8am
  • 8pm Duties
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks
  • Engage residents in recreational activities and social interactions
  • Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and document residents' progress and behavior
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents Qualifications Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience or knowledge in senior care, dementia care, caregiving, or supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist residents with activities of daily living Strong communication skills when interacting with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members Patient, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Experience with patient monitoring is a plus Very reliable and dependable with an excellent attendance record.
Reliability is an essential requirement for this role, as our individuals depend on consistent staffing. Applicants must be committed to working their scheduled shifts, including any shifts they voluntarily pick up, and communicate promptly regarding any emergencies or scheduling conflicts.
Pay:
$21.00 per hour
