Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure the health and safety of individuals in care. Support clients , ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. Maintain cleanliness of living areas and assist with light housekeeping tasks. Document daily client progress activities and any changes in behavior or health status while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of client's, care needs. Qualifications Previous experience in individual home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
