Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Safe, habitable, and affordable housing is a basic need. The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) Housing Department provides direct service programs and resources to individuals and families through shelters, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, rental assistance, and homeownership programs. ULMS has officially opened our permanent supportive housing facility in Federal Way WA. This site is staffed 24/7
  • Day, swing, and graveyard shifts are available.
All hires must be available to work at least 2 different shifts and at least 1 weekend day per week.
Shifts:
Day 7:00am
  • 3:00pm, Swing 3:00pm
  • 11pm, Grave 11pm
  • 7am The Support Service Staff position supports residents by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized space.
This position is responsible for providing and/or assisting residents in accessing support services, community integration, life skill training, housing maintenance, transportation, and other needed services
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
2 years of direct experience working with individuals who face challenges and barriers including homelessness High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read and write in standard English Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of adults with multiple challenges Proficiency in MS Office
  • Word, Excel, Outlook Ability to interact with a wide variety of audiences Ability to work independently with limited supervision Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality Experience in working with homeless individuals is strongly preferred Non-profit experience strongly preferred ULMS Total Compensation
