Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and become a vital part of empowering individuals with diverse needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. In this energetic and rewarding role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to residents in our adult family homes. Comfort Care Homes and Services is looking to hire for our Monday through Friday, 3P-11P shift and for our overnight sleep shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11P-7A. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient behavior, and daily documentation. Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Support residents during activities, outings, and social engagements to promote community involvement and well-being. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, incident reports, and progress notes in accordance with healthcare regulations. Engage in light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance training, and medication administration are advantageous but not mandatory; training is provided. Experience with patient monitoring tools and techniques—such as vital signs measurement—is a plus. Strong communication skills in caregiving roles that foster trust and rapport with residents. Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
