Job Description

We're looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Community Living Skills Trainers (CLSTs) supporting one incredible young adult with autism in his own apartment and throughout the community. This is not a group home or facility position . You'll work one-on-one in a positive, supportive environment helping him build independence, enjoy meaningful community experiences, and live the life he chooses. This is a part-time position, and we understand that work needs to fit into real life. We offer a variety of shifts and work with our team to create schedules that fit around family, school, and other commitments whenever possible. You'll be joining a stable, long-term team where consistency matters. We value our staff and work hard to create an environment where people enjoy coming to work and choose to stay. Responsibilities Support participation in community activities that foster connection, confidence, and enjoyment. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and household routines. Teach and encourage independent living skills. Promote positive behavior and provide patient, respectful support. Help create a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment that promotes independence and personal growth. Qualifications Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is required. Experience as a caregiver, direct support professional (DSP), or in a related role is required. Comfortable using a computer or mobile device to document services, complete tasks, and communicate with the team. Reliable, patient, flexible, and committed to providing person-centered support. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. A vehicle is provided while working. Successfully pass background and reference checks. Ability to bend, twist, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, lift, and stand for extended periods as needed to safely support daily activities. Why Join Our Team? Competitive pay Flexible part-time scheduling with a variety of shifts Join a stable, long-term team with exceptionally low turnover One consistent individual to support—build meaningful relationships instead of rotating between clients You're never on your own. An experienced team member is always on call to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer support whenever needed. We respect your personal time. Our on-call support helps ensure staff are relieved as scheduled, so you aren't unexpectedly working beyond your shift. Supportive leadership that values your ideas and contributions A positive team culture focused on helping one person live his best life If you're passionate about helping someone build independence, become an active member of the community, and live a meaningful life while being part of a supportive team that truly values its employees, we'd love to hear from you!
