Job Description Overview The RFID Lab at Auburn University is looking for motivated, hard-working, and detail-oriented students from various disciplines to perform RFID in-store testing and audits. This position will primarily involve fieldwork at local partner locations.
Fieldwork includes activities such as:
RFID tag audits, barcode audits, RFID cycle counts. Responsibilities Perform data collection tests to investigate the performance of large-scale RFID deployments. The team's responsibilities include RFID tagging items in a retail environment and then doing tests with an RFID reader to determine the quality and readability of the tags. Performing in-store barcode/inventory audits. Participation in in-lab demonstrations and testing when necessary Students may occasionally travel to partner locations outside of the Auburn/Opelika area Qualifications Enrolled student at Auburn University Must have reliable transportation to and from partner locations outside of regular business hours Must have the ability to work weekends and weekday evenings Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technically capable with ability to quickly become familiar with new hardware, software, and processes.
