Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws, specimen collection, and processing while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques, as well as excellent patient service skills to provide a positive experience for all patients. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care. Collect, label, and process specimens according to established protocols. Maintain aseptic technique to prevent contamination during specimen collection. Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and laboratory results. Assist in the preparation of specimens for laboratory analysis. Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient interactions. Provide exceptional patient care by addressing concerns and answering questions related to the phlebotomy process. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow within the laboratory setting. Uphold knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory techniques to enhance service delivery. Experience Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques related to specimen collection and processing is essential. Experience in patient service roles that require direct interaction with patients is highly valued. Knowledge of phlebotomy practices, including blood sampling methods and aseptic techniques, is required. A background in hospital experience or similar healthcare environments will be beneficial for this role.
