Job Description

SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Medical Director and upon request of a physician perform various types of EEG and sleep disorder education and testing. Ability to score sleep recordings and provide statistical reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, Sleep training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Sleep required.
Certifications:
Must be Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) or equivalent Sleep Disorders Specialty credentialing from The National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS).
Other:
Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist with current AR State License preferred.
Preferred Education:
Associates Degree in Respiratory Care or other related medical field preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Spend 8 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat, twist regularly up to or exceeding 8 - 12 hours during shift(s). Ability to push and/or roll equipment up to 300 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Will require intense concentration for periods of time. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Work Environment Sleep Disorder Center, DME office, patient care areas, within a hospital environment
