At The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, we're expanding our sleep diagnostics team and seeking a skilled, compassionate Sleep Technician to help us deliver exceptional care. You'll make a meaningful impact every day by helping patients understand and improve their sleep—one of the most essential pillars of health. What You'll Do As a Sleep Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality sleep diagnostics and ensuring each patient feels safe, informed, and cared for throughout their study. Sleep Study Preparation & Setup Review patient history, confirm orders, and assess individual needs. Welcome patients, verify identity, obtain consent, and explain the process. Prepare and calibrate equipment; apply electrodes and sensors with precision. Fit and desensitize patients to PAP interfaces to ensure comfort and compliance. Conducting Sleep Studies Perform and monitor a variety of sleep tests, including
MSLT, MWT, PAP
titration, oxygen titration, and parasomnia studies. Conduct physiological calibrations and initiate "lights out" procedures. Monitor data quality, correct artifacts, and document clinical observations. Implement therapeutic interventions such as PAP and oxygen therapy. Complete "lights on" procedures and assist patients post-study. Scoring & Reporting Score sleep stages and clinical events using AASM guidelines. Generate accurate, detailed reports summarizing sleep and clinical data. Manage and prepare data from portable monitoring devices. Educate patients on home sleep testing and proper equipment use. Service Excellence & Professionalism Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards. Perform routine equipment maintenance and inventory checks. Respond to patient questions with empathy and clarity. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrate professionalism, critical thinking, and strong teamwork. What We're Looking For Completion of an accredited sleep technology program (certificate or associate degree). Certification from a nationally recognized board (RST, RPSGT, RRT-SDS). Current
CPR/BCLS
certification. Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, reaching, and communication. Occasional walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally. Adequate visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
