Tech, Medical Technician- Tech, Clearlake, California Key Responsibilities
- Ensure medical providers receive timely, accurate diagnostic results.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Evaluate test results for errors.
- Oversee laboratory personnel.
- Perform complex analyses in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology.
- Order and organize supplies.
- Maintain records.
- Update patient medical records.
- Adhere to safety regulations. Certifications/Requirements
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification from ASCP or AMT required or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification minimum.
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field. Experience
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
- 2+ years acceptable clinical laboratory experience in all required areas (blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology).
