26497 Rancho Parkway South, Lake Forest, CA 92630 Position Summary Inspire Diagnostics is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Lab Technician / Client Support team member to assist with daily laboratory operations at our Lake Forest facility. This hands-on position supports specimen processing, accessioning, data entry, sample-pickup coordination, client communication, and general laboratory workflow. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and interested in developing experience within diagnostic laboratory operations. This is a part-time, W-2 variable-hour position. Scheduled hours may vary according to laboratory and operational needs. Some scheduling flexibility may be available, and employees will be notified of their schedules in advance whenever possible. Key ResponsibilitiesSpecimen Processing and Accessioning Receive, review, and organize incoming specimens. Verify patient, specimen, collection, and order information for completeness and accuracy. Enter specimen and order information accurately into laboratory systems. Label, organize, and route specimens according to established laboratory procedures. Identify and document missing information, labeling discrepancies, or specimen concerns. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and follow-up notes. Sample Coordination and Logistics Assist with coordinating specimen pickups and deliveries. Communicate with couriers, clients, collection sites, and internal staff regarding specimen movement. Track and help resolve pickup delays, missing documentation, and routine specimen issues. Support the timely movement of specimens from collection sites to the laboratory. Client and Internal Support Communicate professionally with clients, couriers, collection sites, and laboratory personnel. Obtain missing information and clarify routine order or specimen details. Direct technical, clinical, or testing-related questions to the appropriate authorized laboratory personnel. Provide timely follow-up and clear communication across teams. General Laboratory Support Keep accessioning and laboratory-support areas clean, organized, and properly stocked. Assist with inventory, restocking, labels, containers, personal protective equipment, and transport materials. Follow laboratory procedures, safety requirements, confidentiality standards, and company policies. Protect patient and client information in accordance with HIPAA and company requirements. Perform other laboratory-support duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently. Accurate computer, keyboarding, and data-entry skills. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management abilities. Ability to manage repetitive, detail-focused tasks in a fast-paced environment. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct. Ability to work independently while recognizing when questions or concerns should be escalated. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient, client, and company information. Ability to work on-site at the Inspire Diagnostics laboratory in Lake Forest. Availability to work a variable part-time schedule based on operational needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred but not necessarily required: Specimen processing or accessioning Laboratory or healthcare support Phlebotomy or specimen collection Medical office operations Client service or customer support Courier or sample-pickup coordination Shipping, receiving, or healthcare logistics Medical data entry, order entry, or electronic records Inventory control or supply organization Physical and Working Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive computer and specimen-handling tasks. Ability to bend, reach, walk, and move throughout the laboratory. Ability to lift and carry laboratory supplies or transport containers weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Ability to work safely around properly contained clinical specimens and laboratory materials.
