Flexible up to 10 hours weekly
Position Summary :
We are seeking a Part-Time Lab Technician to support the engineering team at Flex in Milpitas, CA. Reporting to the Director of Field Applications, this role will focus on PCB modifications, fine-pitch soldering, and verification testing of complex circuit boards. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on electronics experience and the ability to work independently in a laboratory environment.
Job Duties:
Support Applications Engineering with laboratory and technical projects. Perform complex modifications and rework on large printed circuit boards. Execute fine-pitch soldering and component replacement, including 0201 components. Review PCB schematics, layouts, and engineering documentation. Conduct verification testing using advanced laboratory equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve PCB-related issues. Document modifications, testing activities, and results. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient lab environment.
Qualifications:
Must have Proficiency in fine-pitch soldering, including 0201 component rework. Minimum 3 years of experience working with complex PCBs. Experience using schematic and PCB layout viewing tools. Experience performing verification testing on electronic assemblies. Skilled with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work independently. Flexible availability to support pre-committed part-time hours.
