Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety. The role is responsible for the administration of Quality Control functions as they relate to raw material and finished product testing to achieve customer product specifications and to adhere to all SOPs as per Bachan's standards. This role will include testing and inspecting products and ingredients at various stages of use. Support Quality based systems such as good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and product quality standards. Responsibilities Responsible performing quality related analysis including but not limited to pH, water activity, density, viscosity, torque, packaging application and other analysis as needed. Responsible for inspecting raw materials, packaging, finished goods against specifications. Responsible for warehouse GMP inspections and corrective actions in collaboration with warehouse team. Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation. Participate in the development and/or revision of inspection procedures, policies, forms and/or programs. Work closely with production staff to maintain an education in the areas of sanitation, hygiene, GMP's, and other food safety guidelines. Responsible to issue disciplinary action when directed. Support product development, lab retains, and the laboratory when directed. Perform inspections on products, equipment, and machinery, when necessary Think critically and suggests opportunities for improvement and solution-based resolutions to issues that arise. Other duties and projects as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required Knowledge of HACCP, GMP's, allergens, and food defense HACCP Certification Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations Bachelor of Science Degree or Diploma in Microbiology or food science 2+ years' experience in a CPG industry preferred.
Pay:
$31.25 - $33.65 per hour
