Mobility Tech Boulder Community Health

  • $29.60 an hour
  • Per Diem Days, Various hours per week
  • Range includes per diem differential.
+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Mobility Tech who will mobilize patients and assist with other caregiver duties. Direct patient care functions are under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • BLS certification required within 90-day conditional period.
  • Hospital or other health care experience preferred, but not required. Responsibilities
  • Communicates problems to RN or charge nurse/clinical lead promptly.
  • Offers assistance and provides direction to visitors, patients, physicians, and families in a concise, informative manner, maintaining a positive and courteous tone.
  • Places call light within reach of patient.
  • Places bed in low position with brake on. Appropriately sets bed or chair with safety measures, including bed siderails in up position as indicated.
  • Maintains siderails in up position as indicated. Orients patient to use of bed, call light, television, and telephone, as needed.
  • Independently mobilizes patients.
  • Assists staff with repositioning and patient mobility.
  • Assists patients to and from the bedside commode or bathroom.
  • Answers patient call lights and passes any requests outside of scope to appropriate care giver.
  • Takes vital signs as directed by RN prior to mobilization and reports results to RN.
  • Adheres to fall prevention interventions and plan.
  • Adheres to pressure injury prevention practices.
  • Assists patient with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needed for mobility.
  • Maintains telemetry leads and monitors on patients if indicated.
