Our laboratory works with innovative organizations requiring high-quality scientific testing, research support, and specialized analytical capabilities. We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Scientist to support both biological and analytical laboratory operations. This position is ideal for an early-career laboratory professional who enjoys hands-on scientific work and is looking to build experience across multiple laboratory disciplines and advanced analytical platforms.
- Position Summary The successful candidate will primarily perform laboratory work involving mammalian (human) cell culture, flow cytometry, spectrophotometry, and analytical instrumentation including HPLC and GC systems.
This position is intended for an early-career laboratory professional seeking to build practical experience across biological and analytical laboratory disciplines. The role requires strong laboratory skills, attention to detail, scientific curiosity, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced research and testing environment. This position will begin as part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as laboratory activities continue to expand.
- Primary Responsibilities Perform and maintain mammalian (human) cell culture operations Conduct laboratory testing and research activities involving mammalian cell systems Operate and support flow cytometry experiments and data collection Perform analytical testing using HPLC systems Perform analytical testing using GC instrumentation Prepare samples, standards, controls, and laboratory reagents Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, records, and documentation Assist with method development, optimization, and validation activities Participate in laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration Support scientific research, client testing projects, and product development initiatives Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance Assist with technical reporting and data review as required•
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in: Biology Biotechnology Biochemistry Chemistry Biomedical Sciences Analytical Chemistry Related Scientific Discipline 0-3 years of relevant laboratory or research experience preferred Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture through academic, research, or industry laboratory work (required) Exposure to one or more of the following is preferred: Flow Cytometry HPLC GC Multimode Microplate Reader Strong laboratory documentation and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Preferred Qualifications Experience in academic, research, testing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or contract laboratory environments Experience supporting medical device, biotechnology, or life science projects Familiarity with method development, validation, or laboratory quality systems Scientific report writing experience Recent graduates with strong laboratory experience are encouraged to apply•Location Requirement Applicants must reside within reasonable driving distance of Longmont, Colorado and be available to work on-site.
