Job Description

Laboratory technicians are necessary for the development and implementation of food safety procedures. Hours are 8am to 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Laboratory technicians must be able to perform the following skills with proficiency:
  • Obtain samples for analysis
  • Execute laboratory testing for Butterfat, Total Solids, Titratable Acidity, Viscosity, and Organoleptic (taste and smell)
  • Plate product samples using pipettes, accurately read results, and analyze data trends
  • Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with accuracy
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Perform calibrations of various instruments
  • Have the ability to lift 50 lbs The ideal candidate will have experience working with pathogens or chemicals in a production environment.
Candidates must be able to adhere to and enforce food safety policies and procedures throughout the facility. B.S in Science and/or previous dairy experience preferred, but not required.' '
