Job Description

Location:
- Meriden, CT
Pay Rate:
- $33.00 per hour
- Position Overview
- We are seeking a
- Lab Technician
- to support research, development, application engineering, and quality-control activities.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Perform chemical, biological, physical, and mechanical analyses and laboratory testing.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Previous experience working in a
- laboratory or technical environment
- . + Chemistry laboratory experience or coursework in microbiology is highly desirable. + Experience with
- industrial filtration, water filtration, water treatment, or water analysis
- is preferred. + Experience with
- Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
- is a plus. + Experience with
- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS)
- is a plus. + Experience with
- Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzers
- is beneficial. + General knowledge of chemical handling, laboratory safety, and proper chemical usage. + Strong mechanical and chemical aptitude. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills. + Computer proficiency and accurate laboratory documentation skills. + Ability to work independently with moderate direction and contribute effectively as part of a team.

- + Additional coursework or technical training in
- chemistry, microbiology, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, fluid dynamics, or thermodynamics
- is preferred.
- Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate is a technically minded laboratory professional who can follow established procedures while exercising good judgment and initiative. Experience with chemistry, microbiology, filtration, water treatment, or specialized laboratory instrumentation will be highly valuable in this role.
