Our lab supports physicians, treatment centers, and healthcare systems with advanced testing and informatics solutions to improve patient care and outcomes. We are seeking a Laboratory Technician I to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates eager to develop their technical and analytical skills in a fast-paced, quality-driven laboratory. Position Summary The Laboratory Technician I performs assigned laboratory procedures under the direction of the Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisor . The position involves both technical and administrative responsibilities to support daily operations across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities Follow all laboratory policies and procedures , including safety, QC/QA, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (CLIA, COLA, OSHA). Perform specimen processing , including specimen validity checks, screening, and confirmation preparation. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated analyzers (e.g., AU680, LC-MS/MS, PCR platforms) and ensure all maintenance, calibration, and QC logs are up to date. Prepare solutions, reagents, calibrators, and QC materials as needed. Maintain accurate daily logs, QA/QC records, and documentation for audits and inspections. Assist with inventory control for reagents and consumables. Participate in ongoing quality assurance and proficiency testing programs. Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity in all testing and reporting activities. Promote teamwork and professionalism in all interactions. Perform additional duties assigned by the Laboratory Director or Supervisor.Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Chemical, Biological, or Laboratory Science , or equivalent laboratory experience. 1+ year experience in a clinical or research laboratory preferred. Authorized to work in the United States. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Strong computer and documentation skills (Excel, LIS entry, data review).Preferred:
Experience with Toxicology , PCR, or Molecular Diagnostics, or Clinical Chemistry testing. Familiarity with LIMS systems (TrueMediT preferred) . Proficient pipetting skills and knowledge of laboratory safety practices. IT troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking ability. Skills & Attributes Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Adaptable to changing workloads and priorities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment . Physical & Work Conditions Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., stand or sit for extended periods. Potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
