Position Summary This position is responsible for cutting, mounting and polishing samples, as well as microhardness testing. Essential Functions Cut, mount and polish samples to prepare them for micro-hardness testing and microstructure evaluation. Perform micro-hardness testing and basic microstructure evaluations. Review furnace charts. Maintain lab equipment and supplies. Support all aspects of production and quality control functions as needed. Knowledge of basic metallurgical principles, standards, methods and practices is a plus. Solid basic math skills required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced shop environment. Some heavy lifting is required. Previous experience working for an aerospace company is preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. • $60000 / year Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
