CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a high school diploma and two years of related experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This OPS Laboratory Assistant will help with the day-to-day operation of the nPOD laboratory. The duties include assisting staff with daily lab tasks such as: Database entries, archiving paraffin and OCT blocks Archiving slides and help with slide scanning Collection of biohazard and non-hazardous waste material and help with the disposal of such materials, as well as chemicals, and other tasks Wash and autoclave surgical instruments and other tools pertinent to case processing Assisting staff with daily lab chores such as equipment maintenance, cleaning, ordering, and stocking
EXPECTED SALARY
$18.00 per hour
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a high school diploma and two years of related experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
PREFERRED
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills. High proficiency in MS Office, especially Access and Excel. Ability to maintain accurate records and inventories.
