This position is part time for 4-8 weeks to complete training and evaluate business needs, after which time the position transitions to full time. SJ Labs and Analytics, LLC is the first Cannabis Testing Lab in the state of Georgia. This position is perfect for a new graduate looking for lab experience in an innovative regulated industry. This position will report directly to the laboratory team leader and laboratory manager. The laboratory technician will be responsible for preparing and extracting samples for HPLC, GC/MS, LC/MS/MS, ICP and Microbial Analysis. The workload will be ~80% benchtop and ~20% administrative duties. In addition to lab work, this position will require some traveling to sample at farms and processing facilities. These trips are done in a single day and may require up to 6 hours in a vehicle. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record is required. Education and Experience Requirement Bachelor's degree (or last semester) in Chemistry Biology or any other related lab based Science OR Associates Degrees in Chemistry Biology or any other related lab based Science AND 2+ years of laboratory experience OR High school diploma AND 4+ years of laboratory experience Duties Prepare Plant Sample for Analysis Prepare Tincture, Edible, Concentrate, and Topical Samples for Analysis Follow
