A Quality Control Laboratory Technician ensures that manufactured products meet safety standards and company specifications. Works in laboratories examining products, taking samples and conducting experiments. Reports imperfections and makes recommendations for improvements.
Our client is currently seeking a QC Lab Technician I (Entry Level)
Job Responsibilities:
Perform biological, chemical, and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to support manufacturing operations. Conduct laboratory analyses using both manual techniques and analytical instrumentation. Accurately document test results in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Enter and maintain testing data in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and other electronic databases. Execute analytical assays following established SOPs, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Support investigations related to laboratory deviations, out-of-specification results, and exception reporting. Ensure compliance with FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations while maintaining data integrity. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, quality, and productivity. Receive, log, track, and process laboratory samples. Assist with stability study sample management and routine sample testing. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, equipment, glassware, and inventory of consumable supplies. Perform routine monitoring and maintenance of temperature-controlled storage units. Support filing, archiving, and organization of laboratory records and documentation. Manage laboratory waste disposal in accordance with safety and environmental procedures. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production and testing timelines. Support shift changes, overtime, and additional business needs as required.
Must Have/Required:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline. Experience working in a laboratory environment through industry, internships, academic labs, or research settings. Knowledge of basic biological and chemical testing techniques. Experience with laboratory instrumentation and analytical testing methods. Understanding of cGMP, GLP, GDP, and regulated laboratory environments. Familiarity with laboratory documentation and data entry practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. Ability to follow SOPs and detailed written procedures. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and chemical handling procedures.
