Job DescriptionThe Wet Chemistry Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures. This position is Looking for 2nd shift hours availability, will need to be able to train on the 1st shift. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibilityPerforms routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs.
These include:
Preparation of samples using standard techniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine instrument maintenanceResponsible for general housekeeping in work areaAbility to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.

Aliquots and weighs samplesWashes glasswareConducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
QualificationsBasic Minimum Qualifications:
Reading, writing and speaking skillsProblem solving skillsTeam participation and meeting management skillsTime management and organization skillsUse calculator/mathematical formulas and conceptsComplete work within time and quality constraintsWork independently following written or verbal instructionsCooperate and coordinate both orally and in writingFollow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines:

Organic preparationMetals preparation and analysisGas ChromatographyGas Chromatography/Mass SpectrometryRadio ChemistryWet ChemistryHigh Resolution preparation and analysisLow Resolution preparation and analysis
Education/Experience:
BS or BA in Chemistry or related field Previous production-oriented work (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in EnglishAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationPosition is located in Cedar Falls, IAPosition is Full-Time seeking 2nd shift, Monday- Friday, 2 PM and 10:30 PM, will train on 1st shift
M-F 8 AM- 5 PM.
 Postion Range starts at $17.75/hr, based on experience. Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
