Job Description

Job Title:
Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team and contribute to ensuring product quality through precise sample preparation and analytical testing using both instrumental and wet chemistry methods. Responsibilities Prepare samples and perform analytical testing to ensure product quality. Execute daily process monitoring tests and document results accurately in computerized systems and LIMS. Communicate test results to operations and recommend adjustments to maintain production quality standards. Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance. Collect, record, and retain samples and testing data to support validation and compliance requirements. Manage lab inventory, maintain a clean workspace, and support overall lab organization and efficiency. Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, EPA, OSHA, and company standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in quality control and assurance processes. Strong understanding of chemistry, including wet chemistry and titration. Experience with laboratory operations and analytical chemistry. Knowledge of GMP standards and laboratory best practices. Ability to use computerized systems and LIMS effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications A 2-year degree in life sciences or 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience. Background in biology is beneficial. Work Environment Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3 pm. The lab environment requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. A clean and organized workspace is essential for efficient operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
