Job Description

Essential Functions:
A GELITA USA
Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for: Sample collection and preparation. Perform appropriate tests according to established procedures in an efficient, timely, accurate and safe manner. Report test results in an accurate and legible manner. Interpret data as experience allows to assist in evaluation of data including the reporting of anomalies to QC Management. Maintain equipment in good working order including calibration. Assist in maintaining inventories of laboratory equipment and supplies. Training of other technicians when required. Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly laboratory. Interact with all co-workers in a professional manner. Assist in all areas of the laboratory as required. Support and follow GELITA USA's GMP policies. Support GELITA USA's Quality and Food Safety Policy through accurate and timely testing. Other Duties as Assigned by QC Management Job Requirements The preferred candidate for the Quality Control Lab Technician position will have: A High School diploma or GED and one two years college level coursework in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology and/or science related field preferred. Experience in a Quality Control laboratory preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate. Proficiency and the ability to quickly learn programs computer programs and in-house software A Quality Control Lab Technician must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a strong work-ethic, be well organized, and have good mathematical skills. Must be able to work well as part of a team and on an individual basis. A flexible schedule allowing for changes in daily work routines, weekend work and occasional overtime required. Person must maintain acceptable attendance requirements with minimal absences and tardiness. A Quality Control Lab Technician is expected to learn and grow in their expertise relative to the individual tests and overall goals of the laboratory
