Job Title:
Analytical Laboratory SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a skilled Analytical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will develop proficiency in operating key analytical laboratory equipment and collaborate with equipment vendors to ensure the commissioning of instruments meets site requirements. This role involves creating and updating analytical test methods and leading laboratory projects to support operational and continuous improvement objectives. Responsibilities Develop proficiency in the operation and functionality of key analytical laboratory equipment. Collaborate with equipment vendors to commission analytical instruments and ensure compliance with site requirements. Create and update analytical test methods in accordance with established site standards. Lead assigned analytical laboratory projects to support operational and continuous improvement objectives. Essential Skills Minimum of two years of experience in an analytical or manufacturing laboratory environment. Proficiency in Chemistry, Laboratory techniques, and handling analytical instruments. Experience with quality control and quality assurance processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field is strongly recommended. Equivalent practical laboratory experience and demonstrated chemical knowledge will be considered. Experience with laboratory equipment commissioning, including setup, verification, documentation, and readiness for routine use. Experience developing or refining analytical test methods, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and alignment with laboratory standards. Familiarity with GMP rules and regulations, with the ability to follow compliance requirements and maintain proper documentation. Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive projects to completion through planning, coordination, and effective execution. Work Environment This role operates in a laboratory environment with standard hours from Monday to Friday, typically from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and compliance with laboratory standards and regulations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cordova, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
