What You'll Do As a Lab Technician, you'll play an important role in ensuring the safety and quality of medical devices used every day: Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products Conduct hands-on testing such as tensile strength, absorption, and water resistance for surgical materials (e.g., gowns and drapes) Operate and maintain lab equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and coordinate repairs when needed Accurately record and review test results following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvements Support a safe, clean, and compliant lab environment Collaborate with team members and communicate your findings clearly What We're Looking For We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in a regulated lab environment!

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) OR Associate degree in science plus hands-on experience in a regulated setting (customer service, retail, etc.) Preferred Skills (we'll help you grow these!): Familiarity with lab testing techniques or equipment Basic knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or regulated industries Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Why You'll Love This Role Hands-on experience in a regulated medical device lab Career growth opportunities in quality, R D, or technical roles Work in a newly expanded 12,000 sq. ft. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Libertyville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
