Woodlawn Health is seeking a qualified and motivated Registered Polysomnographic (RPSGT) Sleep Technologist to perform comprehensive sleep studies and contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for patients suffering from sleep disorders.
SHIFT:
Night Shift / Full-Time / No Holidays / 1 w/e per month
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
: Education and training typically found and obtained in PSG, EEG, and/or respiratory therapy programs preferred. Preferred- Two years of experience in performing inpatient/outpatient sleep studies and EEG studies. Certified and/or Registered by the American Board of Electroencephalographic Technologies and/or Board of Polysomnographic Technologies and National Board for Respiratory Care. Registered Polysomnographic Technician Appropriately licensed/certified by the State of Indiana. Must be able to work independently and prioritize activities. Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per hospital policy. Must obtain BLS prior to direct patient care. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy. Basic computer and keyboard skills with the ability to use sleep software.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Responsible for electrophysiological monitoring and diagnostic testing in sleep and EEG modalities in the inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings. Some these tests include but are not limited to general diagnostic sleep studies, split-night sleep studies, evoked potential studies, and video monitoring. Performs screening, patient hook-ups, equipment interfacing, troubleshooting, and scoring. Performs testing on 3-year-old patients through geriatric age. Processes charges and necessary paperwork on a timely and accurate basis.
