JOB SUMMARY
As a Lab Analyst, you will perform and document routine and specialized laboratory tasks in both our Chemistry and Microbiology labs. You'll play a key role in supporting our water treatment operations by analyzing environmental samples, conducting quality control tests, and assisting with cutting-edge research that directly contributes to our success. Your work will help ensure the highest standards in our water treatment processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform quality control tests on Apex products Perform laboratory testing on water treatment-related samples - typical equipment involved includes ion chromatography (IC), inductively coupled plasma (ICP), spectrophotometers, and wet method tests Perform corrosion coupon and deposit analyses Assist with reagent inventory management Provide laboratory support such as daily calibration of balances, maintain instrument use manuals, and maintain general use forms and labels Prepare solutions and reagents, general laboratory record keeping and cleaning, and assist with inventory on an as-needed basis Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology Experience working in a laboratory setting Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, with a solid understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and high standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document findings Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems and techniques in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated team player who demonstrates integrity, leadership ability, and strong social skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
IC and ICP experience Experience working in a Chemistry lab setting
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is between $21 - $24 per hour , depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
