Job Description

Since its founding in 1975 Beckmar Environmental Laboratory has firmly established its reputation as a commercial, quality-driven laboratory specializing in environmental analysis, particularly in water and wastewater. Beckmar provides its clients with defensible and affordable sampling and analysis. Its valued clients include municipal and private utilities, state regulators, water and wastewater operators, manufacturers, hospitals, school districts, agribusiness, swimming pool facilities, real estate developers, community service organizations and private home-owners. We are seeking a highly motivated analyst to join our wet chem team and a qualified candidate to become a Kentucky certified microbiologist to assist in microbiology testing.
Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory analysis and testing of wastewater Collect and record data accurately and efficiently on benchsheets Knowledge of excel for entering data Enter data into LIMS for wet chem Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records in order to help with audits Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow Read and follow SOPs and the standard method
Microbiology Analysis :
Analyze drinking water/wastewater samples and communicate results to clients. Weekend and holiday work will be required on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, or a similar scientific discipline) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Prior experience in a laboratory is preferred, but not required
