Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories, working together to enable a better, safer and more interconnected world. Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Lab Technician-Extractions to join our team in Scott, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various extraction procedures and chemical analyses to support our research and development efforts.

Conduct extraction procedures using various techniques such as liquid-liquid and solid-phase extractionPrepare samples for analysis following established protocols and maintaining sample integrityOperate and maintain laboratory equipment and analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS)Perform chemical analyses on extracted samples and record accurate dataAdhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environmentAssist in method development and optimization of extraction proceduresCollaborate with team members and contribute to research projectsMaintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and resultsTroubleshoot technical issues and propose solutionsParticipate in regular team meetings and provide updates on ongoing projectsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus on extractionsProficiency in various extraction techniques and principlesHands-on experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC-MSStrong understanding of chemical analysis methods and data interpretationExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocolsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data recording and analysisDemonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects efficientlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with laboratory safety procedures and regulationsLab safety certification is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional InformationSGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristics protected by law.
