  • 11:00 PM Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Support Technician to support daily laboratory operations through efficient coordination of specimen processing and data management.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate handling of laboratory information while supporting technical staff and delivering high-quality service to patients and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Coordinate laboratory information and assist with specimen processing workflows Perform data entry functions including order entry, cancellations, result entry, retrieval, and log review Operate and maintain computer systems, including troubleshooting and backup procedures Handle incoming calls, relay messages, and provide accurate information regarding lab procedures and results Communicate specimen-related updates (adequacy, add-ons, priorities) to technical staff Verify specimen integrity and ensure proper distribution to laboratory departments Prepare specimens for shipment to reference laboratories and coordinate transport logistics Transport specimens, reports, and requisitions within the facility Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of materials Assist with pre-analytical processes such as labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and prioritization Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment Support quality assurance (QA) activities and departmental initiatives Ensure strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information Collaborate effectively with laboratory personnel and interdisciplinary teams Perform general cleaning and additional duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to read, write, and follow detailed instructions Typing speed of at least 30 WPM Completion of Medical Terminology I or ability to pass a competency assessment (minimum 80%) Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting (e.g., Clinical Associate, Unit Clerk, Lab Assistant, CNA, PCT, etc.) Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with data systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
