Job Description

Specimen Processing Technician MFM Health is seeking a Specimen Processing Technician who will be responsible for identifying specimens, entering data into the Lab Information System, and preparing specimens for testing on our Danvers, MA site. This is a unique opportunity to join a close-knit and passionate team to help guide the growth and success of the laboratory and medical practice.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently enter data required for patient identification and specimen testing into the LIS system. Label laboratory specimens prior to laboratory analysis. Assist with resolving accession issues including requisition discrepancies, missing information, and client related issues. Work closely with the laboratory, medical providers, and reference laboratory to resolve unclear or complicated order issues. Completing addon orders as required by medical providers and working with our reference laboratory as required. Confirm and correct records when needed in the HER system as well as placing addons. Assist in printing next day orders.
Work Schedule:
M-F, 7:30am to 4:00pm (in-person)
Pay Range:
$20-$27 per hour - commensurate with experience
Minimum Requirement:
High School diploma Strong preference will be given to applicants with: College level coursework in biological sciences. Excellent problem resolution skills and communication skills. EHR experience.
