Pay Range:

$30.00/hour We are seeking an experienced R&D Laboratory Technician to support new product development and current product support activities within a fast-paced Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostics environment. The successful candidate will perform laboratory testing, support verification and validation studies, troubleshoot laboratory and prototype instruments, and generate data used for product development and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory testing to support new product development and product support activities. Work closely with R&D scientists on sensor and reagent development. Prepare aqueous solutions, blood preparations, plasma, serum, and whole blood samples. Assemble consumable components and operate laboratory equipment and prototype instruments. Execute R&D troubleshooting activities and CLSI verification protocols. Support test method development, verification, and validation activities. Execute multiple test protocols while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Investigate unexpected or unusual test results and assist with resolving laboratory issues. Analyze and document laboratory data and communicate findings to cross-functional teams. Support laboratory operations, including chemical and material inventory, receiving, and data extraction. Author and revise laboratory procedures, work instructions, and other documentation. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the laboratory. Collaborate with R&D, Technical Operations, and Quality Assurance teams. Follow all applicable GLP, GDP, safety, and laboratory procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Laboratory Technology, or a related scientific field. Minimum 1 year of industrial/laboratory experience. Hands-on experience working with plasma, serum, and whole blood. Strong laboratory and wet chemistry skills. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment. Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and work instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented R&D environment. Ability and willingness to work in a bio hazardous laboratory environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Commitment to GLP, GDP, and laboratory safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in medical diagnostics, in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), or medical device R&D. 3+ years of R&D industry experience. Familiarity with CLSI guidelines and verification/data analysis formats.
