Student workers are evaluated on a continuous basis.
Scope:
Support Biology laboratory and stockroom duties.
Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and breaking down Biology laboratory activities especially for Principles of Biology and Microbiology. Assist in the preparation of laboratory materials such as solutions and various growth media. Assist in general management of the Biology stockroom including washing glassware (operating glassware washing machine), putting away equipment, maintenance of equipment and sterilization of microbiological waste. Assist in the maintenance of the chemical inventory for all departments on campus and the equipment inventory for the Biology Department. Other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
Current undergraduate student at McDaniel College. Have Federal Work Study as part of a Financial Aid package. Strong high school background in biology and/or chemistry Biology or Chemistry majors preferred
Physical Characteristics:
Ability to handle fragile equipment and glassware. Some lifting, under 20 pounds
