Job Overview Responsible for providing patients with CPAP and other sleep therapy equipment, ensuring proper setup, fit, and operation. Duties include but are not limited to educating patients on equipment use and maintenance, reviewing physician orders, completing required documentation, troubleshooting equipment concerns, and providing excellent customer service. The technician works closely with healthcare providers and DME staff to ensure patients receive safe, accurate, and timely therapy equipment. Responsibilities Set up and dispense CPAP, BiPAP, and related sleep therapy equipment according to physician orders. Educate patients on proper equipment use, cleaning, maintenance, and safety. Fit patients with appropriate masks and accessories and make adjustments for comfort and proper seal. Explain CPAP therapy, equipment features, and basic troubleshooting procedures. Review physician orders and verify that equipment provided matches prescribed therapy. Complete patient paperwork, delivery documentation, and insurance-related requirements accurately. Inspect, prepare, and maintain CPAP equipment and supplies prior to patient delivery. Troubleshoot common equipment and mask issues and provide appropriate solutions. Communicate with physicians, sleep clinics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers as needed. Follow company policies, DME regulations, and patient privacy and safety requirements. Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients and caregivers. Follow up with patients as needed to address equipment concerns and promote compliance with therapy. Experience (preferred but not necessary) Experience setting up and educating patients on CPAP/BiPAP and sleep therapy equipment. Knowledge of CPAP masks, tubing, humidifiers, filters, and related supplies. Experience fitting masks and troubleshooting common equipment issues. Familiarity with physician orders, patient documentation, and DME procedures. Strong customer service and communication skills when working with patients and healthcare providers. Ability to maintain accurate records, manage equipment inventory, and follow safety and compliance requirements.

Pay:

From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
