Based in South Haven, Michigan, we work with growers, agronomists, and distributors across the country and around the world. Position Overview We are looking for a focused, dependable Lab Technician to join our team during our busy agricultural season, with the potential to grow into a long-term role. The core of this position is processing sap samples: a precise, repeatable process that requires sustained attention and care over long stretches of time. If you are someone who finds satisfaction in doing a detailed task consistently and correctly, this role is a great fit. No prior lab experience required, we will train you on everything. Key Responsibilities Process and prepare plant sap samples for analysis. Maintain accuracy and focus during high-volume, repetitive processing over extended periods. Operate and maintain basic lab equipment. Support general lab functions including cleaning, organizing, and restocking. Follow all safety and quality control procedures. Communicate with team members to maintain smooth workflow. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in biology, chemistry, or agriculture is a plus but not required. Ability to perform detailed, repetitive tasks with consistency and precision over long hours. Comfortable standing for extended periods in a lab environment. Reliable, punctual, and a team player. Strong attention to detail, this is non-negotiable in a testing lab. Interest in agriculture, plant science, or analytical testing is a bonus.

Basic Job Description:

Collect and organize soil, water and plant tissue samples from clients Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis Properly record results for further analysis and easy reference Monitor inventory samples and supplies Maintain a clean work environment Work under the supervision of Vice President of Laboratory Operations What We Offer Paid, on-the-job training, no experience necessary. Requirements and Skills:

Experience as a technician or in other related fields Familiar with common laboratory or science terminology Data entry skills Experience in laboratory setting Strong organizational skills Able to take instructions and work as a team member Professional attitude Solid written and verbal communication skills Time-management, with the ability to prioritize tasks High school diploma Ideal candidates will have degrees in chemistry, biology or associated fields Ideal candidates will have instrumentation or equipment set up, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration and validation experience
