Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist(RPT) to be based out of our Riverside Sleep Clinic in Minneapolis, MN! This is a multidisciplinary clinic covering all aspects of sleep; Obstructive Sleep Apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and more. This position is approved for 0.9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks) Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis and valuate overnight polysomnograms. Operates medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology. Applies recording devices, cleans/sterilizes equipment, and monitors polysomnogram. Evaluates care and patients' response to intervention. Responsibilities Collects, analyzes, and integrates patient information to identify and meet the patient's specific needs (Physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history), and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory. Performs routine and complex equipment care and maintenance. Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjust if necessary. Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patient Evaluates sleep study related equipment and inventory. Performs Polysomnographic Record Scoring. Performs advanced Polysomnography procedures. Working knowledge of information technology required to support diagnostic and clinical documentation. Strong computer skills required Required Qualifications Associate of Science in health sciences field or actively enrolled in Polysomnography training program with completion 1 year experience working in a healthcare environment Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc, Red Cross or MTN) RPSGT or must successfully complete board registry within 1 Year Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science in health sciences field, with emphasis on Polysomnography 2 years direct patient care experience in a Sleep Center RT, RPSGT or REEGT Benefit Overview Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
