Job Description

Scientist Description This individual will perform testing on client samples using UV/Vis spectroscopy, filtration techniques, and microscopy while ensuring all work complies with FDA and cGMP regulations. This is a strong fit for candidates coming from pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, contract testing, or other regulated laboratory environments.
Responsibilities:
Analytical Testing + Perform laboratory testing on client samples following established SOPs and test methods + Analyze samples using UV/Vis spectroscopy + Conduct filtration testing, including membrane filtration and particulate evaluations + Use microscopy to examine and identify particles, contaminants, and sample characteristics Documentation & Compliance + Record and review laboratory data in accordance with cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) + Maintain accurate laboratory records and enter results into LIMS systems when applicable + Ensure testing activities meet FDA and other regulatory requirements Laboratory Support + Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards + Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment + Participate in investigations involving OOS, OOT, deviations, or quality events + Assist with SOP updates, audits, and continuous improvement activities Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, materials science or like degree 1-3 years of laboratory experience in a GMP lab Industry experience with UV/VIS spectroscopy, filtration testing (membrane filtration, particulate testing, filter integrity testing) and microscopy Industry experience with a lab notebook or ELN Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
