We use cutting-edge technology to ensure each product is customized to perfection. Job Summary The 3D Lab Technician is responsible for the digital creation of custom in-ear monitor shells and face-plates using advanced 3D printing technology. This includes working with digital ear impression scans to create highly accurate digital models, operating 3D printers, and performing post printing processes . You will collaborate with the production team to ensure each completed product meets high standards of quality and production schedule requirements. Key Responsibilities 3
D Model Preparation:
Work with digital ear impressions and design custom in-ear monitor (IEM) shells. Ensure accurate digital models that meet product specifications and customer requirements. 3
D Printing Operations:
Operate 3D printers to produce precise custom IEM shells. Set up, calibrate, and maintain printers to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve printing problems should they occur.
Post-Processing & Finishing:
Handle the post-processing of printed components, including cleaning and curing, to ensure high-quality finished products. Use appropriate finishing techniques to meet the specific acoustic and aesthetic needs of each design.
Quality Control:
Inspect 3D prints for accuracy, defects, or imperfections. Work closely with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure that all printed items meet Alclair Audio's exacting standards.
Schedule Adherence:
Perform needed work in a manner that meets the production schedule.
File Management & Data Handling:
Manage and organize digital files related to customer ear impressions, product specifications, and 3D designs. Ensure all files are securely stored and easily accessible for future reference.
Machine Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on 3D printers and related equipment to ensure consistent print quality and extend the life of the machinery. Address any technical issues with printers, working closely with service providers when necessary. Collaboration with
Engineering & Production:
Work closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot design issues and ensure seamless integration between the 3D lab and other production processes. Provide feedback on the feasibility of design modifications from a 3D printing perspective.
Process Optimization:
Continuously evaluate and improve 3D printing and finishing processes. Look for ways to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in the 3D lab.
Key Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of experience in 3D printing, digital fabrication, or a related field. Familiarity with digital sculpting or similar 3D modeling software is highly desirable.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of 3D printing technologies and post-processing techniques. Attention to detail and precision in working with custom-fit components. Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues with printers and designs. Familiarity with resin-based 3D printing materials and equipment maintenance. Knowledge of ear anatomy.
Personal Attributes:
High level of attention to detail for intricate shaping and placing of components. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple custom orders and digital files. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
