Job Title:
Lab Technician Job Description This position involves collaborating with the R D and technical teams to develop, modify, and test products that align with marketing, customer, and project goals within the electronics market sector. Responsibilities Create chemical batches and test laboratory development samples. Support the development and introduction of new products and assist in commercialization and application method development. Primarily work with polyurethane technologies, with potential exposure to other chemistries such as UV, acrylics, and epoxies. Formulate or modify adhesive samples to meet specific project, market, or customer requirements. Measure sample quality using standard and customer-specific benchtop, analytical, and physical testing techniques. Document project progress using project management methodologies. Assist with laboratory safety and housekeeping duties, including adherence to guidelines and 5S principles. Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment in shared spaces. Essential Skills Experience in chemical batch making, sample preparation, material testing, and quality control. Ability to troubleshoot and manage projects independently or with minimal support. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate Degree in a scientific discipline such as Materials Science or Chemistry, or equivalent hands-on experience with material testing and mixing raw materials. Work Environment The EA Americas Team supports various market segments and technologies within Electronics. The team culture is highly collaborative, fostering open communication and continuous skill enhancement. Senior Scientists on the team are excellent mentors, eager to coach new members. The team comprises four scientists, a lab technician, and a tech services professional. The work involves supporting projects for well-known electronics companies specializing in consumer and automotive electronics. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
